Are You Prepared For The Coming Economic Collapse And The Next Great Depression?
JP Morgan And Citigroup Agree That The U.S. Economy Is Steamrolling Toward A Recession
By Michael Snyder, on December 6th, 2015
As
we approach the end of 2015, researchers at both JP Morgan and
Citigroup agree that the probability that the U.S. economy will soon
plunge into recession is rising. Just last week, a member of the U.S.
House of Representatives asked Janet Yellen about Citigroup’s assessment
that there is a 65 percent chance that the United States will
experience an economic recession in 2016. You can read her answer
below. And just a few days ago, JP Morgan economists Michael Feroli,
Daniel Silver, Jesse Edgerton, and Robert Mellman released a report in
which they declared that “the probability of recession within three
years” has risen to “an eye-catching 76%”…
“Our
longer-run indicators, however, continue to suggest an elevated risk
that the expansion is nearing its end, and our preferred model now puts
the probability of recession within three years at an eye-catching 76%.”
The
good news is that the economists at JP Morgan believe that a recession
will probably not hit us within the next six months. But due to
steadily weakening economic conditions, they are convinced that one is
almost certain to strike within the next few years…
“When
we first wrote, only manufacturing sentiment was signaling an
above-average probability of imminent recession,” they said. “But recent
weakening in the Richmond Fed services survey and the ISM
nonmanufacturing index have now pushed the nonmanufacturing sentiment
probability up somewhat as well.”
In the short term, the note says
that the 6-month likelihood is only 5%, but within a year it stands at
23%, in two years 48%, and in three years the “eye-popping” 76%.
To
be honest, I believe that this assessment is far too optimistic, and it
appears that researchers at Citigroup agree with me. According to
them, there is a 65 percent chance that the U.S. economy will plunge into recession by the end of next year. Last week, Janet Yellen was asked about this during testimony before Congress…
In
testimony before Congress’ Joint Economic Committee, Yellen was asked
by Rep. Pat Tiberi about a piece of research released by Citigroup’s
rates strategy team Monday.
Specifically, Tiberi, an Ohio
Republican, wanted to know what Yellen made of Citi’s conclusion that
there is a 65 percent chance of a U.S. recession in 2016.
“The
economists said that they would assign about a 65 percent likelihood of a
recession in the United States in 2016. Now, 65 percent sounds high to
me, but I’m not an economist and I’m not the Fed chair. But zero risk
might be too low as well. So what would you assign a risk level of a
recession next year?” Tiberi asked.
Popular Forces' Commanders: Ramadi Liberation Operation Blocked by US
TEHRAN
(FNA)- Commanders of Iraq's popular forces complain that the US is
hindering the start of final phase of the operation to free Ramadi, the
capital of Anbar province, from ISIL control.
"The
US bargains and pressures on the Baghdad government have prevented
accomplishment of Ramadi liberation operation," Abu Yousef al-Khazali, a
commander of Seyed al-Shohada battalion, told FNA on Thursday.
"The
US has long been seeking to force the government to stop using the
popular forces in military operations against ISIL, specially in the
liberation operations conducted in different Iraqi regions," he added.
Also,
Karim al-Nouri, the spokesman of Iraq's popular forces, told FNA that
the "the Americans' interference has distorted plans to free Ramadi".
He added that "the Americans are not serious about bringing the battles to an end".
A
commander of Iraq's volunteer forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) complained in
similar remarks that the US meddling in the fight against the ISIL has
impeded their victory over the Takfiri terrorist group and prevented
them from winning back the strategic cities of Ramadi and Fallujah.
"The
US meddling prevents the Iraqi army and popular forces from concluding
their battles against the ISIL in Ramadi and Fallujah cities," Commander
of Imam Khamenei Battalion Haidar al-Hosseini al-Ardavi told FNA on
Sunday.
He noted that the US is doing its best to prevent mop-up operations by the popular forces in Anbar province.
Suspicion
that the US is collaborating with Daesh (also known as ISIL/The Islamic
State), instead of fighting the military group, is spreading among
Iraqis, primarily due to the country's minimalist approach toward the
crisis.
To
Americans, accusations that the US government is helping Daesh may seem
ludicrous. However, many Iraqi fighters and civilians claim they have
seen evidence of collusion between the US and the notorious terrorist
group citing, for instance, videos allegedly showing US helicopters
airdropping weapons to the militants, The Washington Post reported.
The
idea that the US is supporting Daesh is being persistently promoted
via social media and voiced in parliament by Shiite politicians in Iraq,
US military officials claim. In one popular video, recently released
on a Shiite militia group's Facebook page, a lawmaker with the country's
biggest militia group, the Badr Organization, waves seemingly new US
military MREs (meals ready to eat), allegedly found at a recently seized
Daesh base in Baiji, saying it is proof that the US supports
terrorists.The US military's Baghdad-based spokesman Colonel Steve
Warren said the charges are "beyond ridiculous."
"The
Iranians and the Iranian-backed Shiite militias are really pushing this
line of propaganda, that the United States is supporting ISIL," he
said. "There's clearly no one in the West who buys it,
but unfortunately, this is something that a segment of the Iraqi
population believes."
Russia Insider
reports that the ambush on the Russian U-24 bomber was guided by the US
Airforce. In an interview with the Russian news agency Regnum, a
Russian military expert said that “A US Air Force Boeing E-3
Sentry AWACS plane took off on 24 November from the Preveza airbase in
Greece. A second E-3A of the Saudi Arabian air force took off from the
Riyadh airbase. Both planes were executing a common task—determining the
precise location of Russian aircraft. It is they that picked the
“victim.”
The American E-3A was supposed to
determine the activity of the Su-24M2′s onboard targeting radar, to
determine if it was in search mode or if it had already locked on to a
target and was processing launch-data. It is known that the AWACS can
direct the activity of aircraft in battle, conveying information to
their avionics and flight computers.
The expert
went on explaining the technical details of how the US and Saudi AF
planes guided the Turkish F-16s to a sure missile launch in ‘target
illumination’ mode, meaning that the radar was turned off as soon as the
missile locket into its target.
This elevates the US-NATO war
crime on Russia to an even higher level. The leaders involved in this
heinous aggression should clearly be subjected to a Nuremberg style
tribunal with all its dire consequences. Instead, hypocrite Obama in a
side meeting of the Paris COP21 conference laments the event to
President Putin, while still supporting Turkey in their right of
self-defense.
What self-defense? – At the G20 summit in Antalya,
Turkey, a week before the SU-24 downing, all conference members
allegedly unanimously agreed to join forces in their fight against ISIS /
Daesh. Therefore, even if the Russian bomber would have overflown
Turkish territory – which according to Russian military monitors it did
not – it would not have threatened Turkey at all, as they were, Russia
and Turkey along with the other G20 attendees, on the same wave length:
object eradicating terror in Syria.
Or were they really? – Or was
this apparent commitment just another lie, as everything coming from the
west is a lie, a deceit? – No agreement, no commitment is honored, no
law is obeyed – the west under the leadership (sic) of
Zionist-Washington has become a bunch of criminal rogue states.
ATHENS,
December 2. /TASS/. The Russian Sukhoi Su-24M bomber was brought down
by the Turkish Air Force in Syrian airspace, Greek Minister of National
Defense Panos Kammenos said in an interview to the Mega TV channel on
Wednesday.
"The attack (on Su-24M) took place in Syrian airspace.
This is beyond doubt," he said. "The Turkish side knows that, otherwise
Ankara would ask to invoke Article 5 of the NATO Charter, requesting the
Alliance’s help."
"This is undoubtedly a military action in the
territory of another state," Kammenos said. "But even more important
point is the murder of the pilot, who was shot dead by members of the
Turkish extremist group Grey Wolves."
Asked
which side Greece should take, as a NATO member, the minister said -
"the truth". "If Russia had violated Turkish airspace, we would support
Ankara", the defense minister said.
An F-16 fighter jet of the
Turkish Air Force shot down Russia’s Su-24M bomber on Tuesday, November
24. Ankara claims the Su-24M bomber violated the Turkish airspace in the
area of the border with Syria. However, Russia’s Defense Ministry has
said the Su-24M plane stayed exclusively over the Syrian territory and
"there was no violation of the Turkish air space."
Turkey’s F-16
fighter that shot down the Russian Aerospace Forces’ Sukhoi Su-24M
bomber was in Syria’s airspace for 40 seconds and went inside its
territory by 2 kilometers, while the Russian bomber did not violate the
Turkish state border, the commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace
Forces, Viktor Bondarev, said on November 27. "In line with air defense
means objective control materials, the Turkish plane was in Syria’s
airspace for 40 seconds and flew two kilometres inside its territory,
whereas the Russian bomber did not violate the state border of Turkey,"
Bondarev said. He said the crew of the second Su-24 plane confirmed the
launch of the missile from the F-16. After the combat employment at the
mentioned target and left turn to 130-degree course "it observed on the
left side of it flame and a tail of white smoke, which it reported to
the flight operations director," he said.
Israel has become the main buyer for oil from ISIS controlled territory, reports "al-Araby al-Jadeed."
Kurdish
and Turkish smugglers are transporting oil from ISIS controlled
territory in Syria and Iraq and selling it to Israel, according to
several reports in the Arab and Russian media. An estimated
20,000-40,000 barrels of oil are produced daily in ISIS controlled
territory generating $1-1.5 million daily profit for the terrorist
organization. The oil is extracted from Dir A-Zur in Syria and two
fields in Iraq and transported to the Kurdish city of Zakhu in a
triangle of land near the borders of Syria, Iraq and Turkey. Israeli and
Turkish mediators come to the city and when prices are agreed, the oil
is smuggled to the Turkish city of Silop marked as originating from
Kurdish regions of Iraq and sold for $15-18 per barrel (WTI and Brent
Crude currently sell for $41 and $45 per barrel) to the Israeli
mediator, a man in his 50s with dual Greek-Israeli citizenship known as
Dr. Farid. He transports the oil via several Turkish ports and then onto
other ports, with Israel among the main destinations.
In August,
the "Financial Times" reported that Israel obtained 75% of its oil
supplies from Iraqi Kurdistan. More than a third of such exports go
through the port of Ceyhan, which the FT describe as a “potential
gateway for ISIS-smuggled crude."
Another mass shooting attack targeted 'gun-free zone' of California, knowing citizens would be powerless to defend themselves... California is a human shooting range
Thursday, December 03, 2015 by: J. D. Heyes
(NaturalNews) At the time of this writing, news about the horrific mass shootings in San Bernardino, Calif., is still unfolding. There are a great many details that have not yet become clear, except that more than a dozen people have been killed, many more wounded, and that the shooters targeted the Inland Region Center, which provides assistance and care for disabled persons. Also, at this writing, a terrorism link has not yet been established or ruled out – understandable given the recent attacks in Paris, where ISIS-sponsored gunmen killed 130 people and wounded scores more.
Authorities are also fairly certain there was more than one gunman, that they were heavily armed, sporting military-style gear, hoods and semi-automatic rifles.
What is less certain – in fact, what is a downright mystery, both to me and tens of millions of my countrymen – is why, oh why, there continue to be "gun-free zones" in a nation whose founders sought to ensure that none of their progeny would be without a means to protect themselves and their families unless they made the personal choice to be vulnerable.
Doubling down on stupidity – and vulnerability
And honestly, California is one of the worst offenders, featuring strict gun control laws, byzantine gun licensure processes and a ruling class that is at once protected by men and women with guns but disavowed of any obligation to allow those they rule the same right.
Police are continuing to sort through evidence as I write this. They have yet to identify the perpetrators of this violence, let alone locate them. Soon, families of the victims will begin to mourn, with many angrily denouncing the assailants and, sadly, many calling for even more laws and regulations that will result in more deaths, more funerals and more heartbreak for more families in the future.
Like Parisians in November, San Bernardinians victimized by this latest attack had no choice but to cower in place and wait for armed police to rush in and save them. Only, as usual, armed police are never at the locations where the deranged come to slaughter, at least not initially. They do get there, eventually, but not before the maximum carnage is inflicted on bewildered and vulnerable citizens, many of whom became victims against their will.
Not that it made a difference in Paris, of course, where police, who are unarmed, themselves, have no option but to cower in the face of armed and determined criminals and terrorists.
The irony is not so sweet; in the U.S., following such incidents, cops that resemble soldiers fill the streets following such mass murder events. In France, actual soldiers, with body armor, are deployed.
Will anyone in power do the right thing – finally?
But what are they protecting, really? Because by the time these assets are deployed, the murderers are often long gone, and while they are most often found at a later date, in another location, the carnage has been committed, the damage done. And there is no going back in time to reverse it.
Yet our "leaders" keep doubling down on vulnerability. And stupidity. And taking chances with our lives. They force companies to spend scarce resources to provide employees with training in "active shooter drills," and require them to "practice" responding to a situation that, honestly – unless you've been around "active shooting," as in a war zone – most will have no idea how they'd really react.
How about, for a change, we alter our direction? How about instead of mandating more gun-free zones, we start building some "universal protection zones," where citizens are free to utilize their Second Amendment right to protect themselves, and their spiritual right to self-preservation? We've done the vulnerability thing time and time and time again; let's try the "self-defense" and "self-protection" thing, okay?
Is anyone in Washington – or Sacramento – listening? It's doubtful; they're too busy looking for a way to exploit this tragedy for political gain to do the right thing.
Active shooter drills carried out EVERY MONTH at San Bernardino Inland Regional Center... staff tweeted 'drill started' as police raid began
Thursday, December 03, 2015
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
(NaturalNews) Get this: The location where the shooting was carried out in San Bernardino -- the Inland Regional Center -- has been subjected to monthly active shooter drills, we're now learning.
This adds even more evidence to the notion that this may be a staged false flag event to provide Obama justification for outlawing private firearms ownership among law-abiding citizens.
From the LA Times:
At the Inland Regional Center, where she's a nurse, the staff works with clients and parents of clients who are sometimes angry. They have active-shooter drills every month or so.
"Drill started," she texted her husband, Mark, around 11 a.m.
She walked to a window nearby and filmed a video as law enforcement sprinted toward the building.
Astronomically unlucky shooters?
Yes, this woman actually texted, "Drill started." She recognized the pattern of movement that law enforcement has drilled countless times before. It's the same thing they've been drilling for every single month.
What are the mathematical odds that a building where law enforcement has been "active shooter" drilling month after month would be randomly hit by active shooters? Nearly zero, of course. Similarly, of all the buildings in Los Angeles, how many are used by police as training grounds for monthly shooting drills? Virtually zero.
Maybe these active shooters are just incredibly, astronomically unlucky, huh? They chose to be active shooters in the exact same building where LA law enforcement has been training in active shooting drills for months!
Anyone who believes this is sheer coincidence is delusional.
"They know it's going to happen..."
That same LA Times story quotes the woman's husband:
Mark Vong said he told his wife to stay calm and not to panic.
"They train for this," he said, standing outside a police barricade Wednesday afternoon. "They know it's going to happen."
Of course they know it's going to happen! They've been drilling the scenario for months!
How blatant do these staged shootings have to get before people wake up and realize it's all a tragic manipulation of public emotions in order to confiscate guns from private citizens and unleash an Obama totalitarian regime that will soon be handed off to Hillary Clinton for the "full tyranny" crackdown?

ACTIVE SHOOTER EXERCISE
VVC students help law enforcement in campus drill

VICTORVILLE — San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies, unloaded guns drawn, shouted “Get down! Get on the ground!” as they cleared the Victor Valley College library on Monday morning during an active shooter exercise.
Meanwhile, students with pretend injuries acted as victims of a campus shooting.
Staff and students received advance notice of the drill, in which the VVC Police Department joined the county Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department and American Medical Response.
As the sound of gunshots blared through a speaker playing a looped soundtrack, students of the VVC Corrections, Paramedic and Fire academies were given their assignments in the practice scenario.
About a half-dozen students sported torn and bloodied clothing and some fake flesh wounds. They awaited help until the all clear was given by officials, and students were able to assess and treat their wounds after escorting them from the building.
“Just as if this were a real shooting, what we’re doing now is pulling out everyone who’s not a suspect from the building,” campus police officer D.H. Jones said as the "victims" emerged from the library. They were led to the parking lot behind it, where emergency vehicles waited.
San Bernardino, CA — An active shooter situation is currently underway in the 1300 block of South Waterman Avenue in San Bernardino, California.
The shooting apparently took place at the Inland Regional Center, which is a facility that provides services for people who have developmental disabilities. The facility had just celebrated its Christmas party.
While details are scarce, what we have been told by authorities is that police are looking for 1-3 shooters and there are approximately 20 victims, with 12 being presumed dead.
Fox Los Angeles reports that the suspects are “white males” in “military gear” and armed with “rifles.” According to KTLA, police have warned people not to talk to the media. At one point during the KTLA live stream, the reporter attempted to interview a witness and multiple officers rushed up and pushed the reporters and the witnesses apart. Below is a screen grab from the live stream showing confrontation.

After the shooting began, San Bernardino Police Department Lt. Richard Lawhead said that their SWAT team happened to be conducting training nearby. The team was suited, “ready to roll” and responded rapidly, Lawhead said.
The
evidence presented by the Russian Defense Ministry will be “partly
ignored and distorted” by Western MSM, says Foreign Affairs Editor Srdja Trifkovic.
“I
think that Erdogan will scream ‘blue murder’ and claim that this is all
a set-up and a reaction to what he calls ‘justified downing of the
Russian plane’. The real issue is what the US will do about this.
Because it is quite obvious the Turkish tail has been wagging the
American dog for far too long,” he said.
“My hunch is
that the US will continue to be reluctant to really do something about
it. They have had a chance to do so for 15 months prior to the beginning
of the Russian air strikes on September, 25. The question of all
questions is whether Erdogan will finally be pressed by his Western
partners to shape up and to act like a civilized person, which
unfortunately he is not,” Trifkovic told RT.
Currently about 50 million Americans meet the USDA criteria for food insecurity. About 15 million of them are children.
While
the official end of the Great Recession is a full five years behind us,
there are now nearly 12 million more Americans who lack enough
resources to access adequate food than there were in 2007, a number that
has only improved slightly since United States food insecurity peaked at over 21 percent in 2009. These statistics alone are disturbing. But as detailed in a new study released today as part of Bread for the World Institute’s 2016 Hunger Report, absence of food security in the U.S. carries enormous healthcare costs, more than $160 billion in 2014.
Using
data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Census Bureau and
research on food security published in peer-reviewed academic journals
between 2005 and 2015, a team of researchers led by Boston University
School of Medicine associate professor of pediatrics John Cook,
estimated these health care costs by looking at the costs of treating
diseases and health conditions associated with household food insecurity
plus earnings lost when people took time off work because of these
illnesses or to care for family members with illnesses related to food
insecurity.
As Cook, who is also research scientist and principal investigator with Children’s Health Watch, explained to In These Times,
lack of access to adequate food does not necessarily directly cause a
particular illness but “plays a role in that disease occurring.” Years
of research consistently shows food insecurity increases the risk for a
range of health problems. These risks are particularly great for
children but poor and inadequate nutrition also increases risk for adult
health problems, including obesity and chronic diseases, among them
diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. It also exacerbates
illness duration and severity–in some cases simply because people lack
money for medication–and therefore treatment costs.
Putting this
in a broader economic context, Bread for the World Institute points out
that the U.S. “spends more per capita on health care than any other
high-income country but compares poorly with these others on key
population health indicators such as life expectancy and child survival.
This is due,” report authors, “in part to our tolerance as a nation,
for higher levels of poverty and hunger.”
Currently about 50 million Americans meet the USDA criteria for food insecurity. About 15 million of them are children. In 2014, 19.2 percent
of U.S. households with children were food
insecure–about a third
higher than households without. The Boston University research team
found if the costs of special education for children whose learning
abilities are adversely affected by food insecurity are factored in
along with related education impacts for high-schoolers, the $160
billion rose by an additional nearly $18 billion. This brings a total
estimate of direct and indirect health care costs of U.S. food
insecurity in 2014 to $178.93 billion.
This
was definitely not supposed to happen. It seems that an Israeli
military man with the rank of colonel was “caught with IS pants down.”
By that I mean he was captured amid a gaggle of so-called IS–or Islamic
State or ISIS or DAESH depending on your preference–terrorists, by
soldiers of the Iraqi army. Under interrogation by the Iraqi
intelligence he apparently said a lot regarding the role of Netanyahu’s
IDF in supporting IS.
In late October an Iranian news agency,
quoting a senior Iraqi intelligence officer, reported the capture of an
Israeli army colonel, named Yusi Oulen Shahak, reportedly related to the
ISIS Golani Battalion operating in Iraq in the Salahuddin front. In a
statement to Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency a Commander of the
Iraqi Army stated, “The security and popular forces have held captive an
Israeli colonel.” He added that the IDF colonel “had participated in
the Takfiri ISIL group’s terrorist operations.” He said the colonel was
arrested together with a number of ISIL or IS terrorists, giving the
details: “The Israeli colonel’s name is Yusi Oulen Shahak and is ranked
colonel in Golani Brigade… with the security and military code of Re34356578765az231434.”
Why Israel?
Ever
since the beginning of Russia’s very effective IS bombing of select
targets in Syria on September 30, details of the very dirty role of not
only Washington, but also NATO member Turkey under President Erdogan,
Qatar and other states has come into the sunlight for the first time.
It’s
becoming increasingly clear that at least a faction in the Obama
Administration has played a very dirty behind-the-scenes role in
supporting IS in order to advance the removal of Syrian President Bashar
al Assad and pave the way for what inevitably would be a Libya-style
chaos and destruction which would make the present Syrian refugee crisis
in Europe a mere warmup by comparison.
The “pro-IS faction” in
Washington includes the so-called neo-conservatives centered around
disgraced former CIA head and executioner of the Iraqi “surge” General
David Petraeus. It also includes US General John R. Allen, who since
September 2014 had served as President Obama’s Special Presidential
Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq
and the Levant) and, until she resigned in February 2013, it included
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Significantly,
General John Allen, an unceasing advocate of a US-led “No Fly Zone”
inside Syria along the border to Turkey, something President Obama
refused, was relieved of his post on 23 October, 2015. That was shortly
after launch of the highly-effective Russian strikes on Syrian IS and Al
Qaeda’s Al Nusra Front terrorist sites changed the entire situation in
the geopolitical picture of Syria and the entire Middle East.
Hmmmm,
last I checked the sovereign Nation of Syria had invited only two
countries to enter and assist in the eradication of ISIS . Russia and
Iran.
It
is curious that in the short time period that Russia has been involved
they have done more to eradicate the scourge infecting Syria than the
US had done in the two years it has been leading this alleged
‘anti-ISIS’ coalition.
So
my question is what right does the US have to stipulate any demands
or requirements of Russia? When they have been invited by a sovereign
Nation. The US, however, has basically entered said sovereign Nation
of it's own accord to tell them who should be in charge.
Not
to mention claiming victories against ISIS while using videos of
airstrikes that are essentially Russian. Making it very clear that
the US has no footage to backup their claims. Quite the contrary they
have been accused of not only backing ISIS but having created it.
The
Russian campaign in Syria has brought to light just how inept the
alleged US led campaign truly is. As well as the discrepancies in the
reports given by US officials. For the most part fairy tales and
fabrication!
Essentially waging war without declaring war on Syria itself!
Russia ‘must change strategy’ in Syria if it wants to join US-led ‘anti-ISIS’ coalition – State Dept
Russia is not welcome to join the US-led coalition in Syria, as France has proposed, until it changes its “focus” and stops “propping up” President Assad, the US State Department said. Yet, Washington continues to insist their goal isn’t defeating Assad.
“If other nations not in the coalition [the US-led coalition] want to join it and become part of it and focus on the fight against ISIL [Islamic State/IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL] that’s a conversation we’re certainly willing to have,” US State Department spokesperson John Kirby said.
An appeal to expand the US-led coalition fighting Islamic State came from French President Francois Hollande three days after deadly attacks in Paris a week ago. Stating that “France is at war,” Hollande called for the creation of a “large coalition,” which could unite forces with Russia “to achieve a result that has taken too long.”
The grand coalition is going to be the focus of separate talks President Hollande will have with his American and Russian counterparts in coming days. The French leader is expected to hold talks in Washington on November 24 and in Moscow on November 26.
However, the US State Department says that Russia’s involvement in the coalition would depend on Moscow’s “commitment.”“But in order for that to work, every member of the coalition has to have the same focus on defeating ISIL, and thus far we, talking about Russia, haven’t seen that same commitment,” Kirby said, referring to Russia’s support for the Syrian President Bashar Assad. “It’s inconsistent with the goals of the coalition, which is to defeat ISIL, if you’re also propping up the Assad regime.”
So when the U.S. claims to act against the finances of the Islamic State while not doing much, the U.S Public Broadcasting Service has to use footage of Russian airstrikes against the Islamic State while reporting claimed U.S. airstrike successes.
The U.S. military recently claimed to have hit Islamic State oil tankers in Syria. This only after Putin embarrassed Obama at the G-20 meeting in Turkey. Putin showed satellite pictures of ridiculous long tanker lines waiting for days and weeks to load oil from the Islamic State without any U.S. interference.
The U.S. then claimed to have hit 116 oil tankers while the Russian air force claims to have hit 500. But there is an important difference between these claims. The Russians provided videosshowing how their airstrikes hit at least two different very large oil tanker assemblies with hundreds of tankers in each. They also provided video of several hits on oil storage sites and refinery infrastructure.
I have found no video of U.S. hits on Islamic State oil tanker assemblies.
How does the Islamic State militant group make money to fund its operations? A key source is oil extraction, which has helped make the group one of the richest terrorist armies in history. Economics correspondent Paul Solman takes a look at the Islamic State’s revenue sources, while William Brangham learns more from Cam Simpson of Bloomberg Businessweek.
..........
Just check out and compare the
time line recorded on the top right hand side of the airstrike footage
and you will see that at 14:03:55 at 0:57 on the RT video and at 2:36
on the PBS video both show the bombing of the same exact tankers at
exactly the same time. And again 13:49:07 can be seen at 0:45 on the
PBS video and at1:43 on the RT video. Not to mention the Cyrillic characters on the targeting screen (green letters down sides). Really ?
Now
what are the chances that these were being filmed at the same exact
time on the same exact day, with the same exact interface markers?
So if the US did indeed bomb 116 tankers where is the American footage?
Russian
Air Force jets carried out airstrikes against an oil refinery
controlled by Islamic State in Syria on Wednesday and destroyed around
500 fuel tanker vehicles transporting illegal oil from Syria to Iraq.

..........
And
no one can say that RT was using American footage because in the
following video they credit the US with the alleged 116 tankers that
they claim to have blown up.

Oil on Fire: Russian jets destroy ISIS refineries, trucks and wells
Russia
has stepped up its air strikes on Islamic state over the last few days.
It's now targeting the transport of the oil which brings in much of
ISIS funding . Let's get more from RT's Lizzie Phelan in Damascus.
Moscow is currently hosting an international energy forum. Economist
Constantin Gurdgiev is there at the moment - let's cross live to him...........
The
seven hundred years-old expression, “curses are like chickens; they
always come home to roost,” rarely has been more appropriate than to
describe what is happening to the world’s largest purveyor of
gene-manipulated or GMO seeds and paired chemical toxins. It couldn’t
happen to a nicer bunch of genocidal eugenicists. Monsanto Corporation
of St Louis is apparently in a deep decline.
Ever
since 1992 when that nasty US President George H. W. Bush
conspired–yes, Virginia, conspiracies exist– with the leadership of
Monsanto to unleash GMOs on an unwitting American population, Monsanto
seemed unstoppable.
With the help of Bush, who made a decree that
no US Government agency be allowed to independently test GMO seeds or
their chemicals for health and safety–the fraudulent and totally
unscientific Doctrine of Substantial Equivalence–Monsanto could make its
own fraudulent doctored tests and give them to US or EU agencies as
valid. As a result, GMO seeds took over American agriculture, based on a
pack of lies to farmers that they would raise yields and decrease chemical use.
Monsanto spread its GMO far around the world, through bribery as in
Indonesia, and through the unusual machinations of the Government of the
United States. Monsanto paid scientists to lie about its products
safety.
It used the corrupt Brussels European Food Safety
Authority (EFSA) to back its position, even when alarming studies such
as the famous September 2012 Food and Chemical Toxicology peer-reviewed
study by Prof. Gilles-Eric Seralini created shock waves around the
world. The Seralini study, the first ever long term, two year study of
GMO diet with a group of 200 rats found shocking effects. Among them
that,”female rats fed Monsanto GMO maize died 2–3 times more than
controls, and more rapidly… Females developed large mammary tumors
almost always more often than, and before, controls; the pituitary was
the second most disabled organ; the sex hormonal balance was modified by
GMO and Roundup treatments.”
Monsanto
then set about to kill the messenger by pressuring the Food &
Chemical Toxicology journal to hire a former Monsanto employee, Richard
E. Goodman, who promptly declared Seralini’s study “unscientific” and
deleted it, an act almost without precedent in science journals. A
year later both Goodman and the journal’s editor-in-chief were forced
to step down and Seralini’s article was republished in another
scientific journal. But the scientific character assassination against
Seralini had a chilling effect as Monsanto wanted.
Speaking
at the US Institute of Peace in Washington, DC, US Secretary of State
John Kerry discussed Washington’s foreign policy in Syria.
"The
stakes could not be higher," Kerry said on Thursday, before insisting
that the United States is "on the right track and we are making gains
and we are clear on the road ahead."
The
secretary of state also reiterated the Obama administration's three
principle goals for ending the conflict. The first is the necessity
for defeating the self-proclaimed Islamic State terrorist group, the
second is the intensification of diplomatic efforts, and the third being
a determination to support regional allies to ensure that Syria's
instability does not spread beyond its borders.
Kerry also spent a
good deal of time claiming that the Syrian government was ultimately
responsible for the creation of IS. While the international community
largely agrees that the principle cause for the terrorist group's
formation was the instability created by the US-led invasion of Iraq,
Kerry blamed local dissatisfaction with the leadership of Syrian
President Bashar al-Assad.
